Angel Contreras, Chicago bred caricature artist, has been destr delighting audiences since 1991, which is a nice way of saying he’s been doodling folks faces for over three decades. His unique blend of humor and artistry has somehow made him a beloved figure in the caricature world. He started his illustrious journey at the Art Institute of Chicago (after which he was tossed out) and then somehow ended up at Ray Vogue College of Design (they went out of business). But hey, who needs formal education when you can accumulate wisdom from the School of Hard Knocks, right? With over 150,000 caricatures under his belt, Angel’s work is clearly a product of remarkable skill—or at least that’s what he tells us.
